“Name That Teacher” Contest

Can you identify staff members by their baby photos?

Mr. Smith, The Delphi Advisor

The Delphi is hosting its second contest of the 2019-20 school year, “Name That Teacher,” but unlike the scary story contest, this game is open to both students and staff.

The contest asks participants to view a series of baby/toddler photos of current Del Val staff members and to identify those staff members to the best of their abilities with the aid of a word bank.  The rules for the contest are as follows:

  1. Entrants are allowed only 1 submission into the contest.
  2. Entrants are allowed 1 guess per photo, and an entry is considered invalid if all photos are not guessed upon.
  3. An incorrect guess will not detract from a correct one. An entrant’s score is determined only by the number of correct guesses.
  4. The provided word bank will contain more names than there are photos, but the name of each staff member in the photos is included on the list.
  5. All entries must be submitted to thedelphi@dvrhs.k12.nj.us in the form of a numbered list. Each guess must be submitted in the same numerical order as the photos appear in the gallery.
  6. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, November 26.  The winner will be announced in school on Wednesday, November 27.

There will be two winners, one from the students and one from the staff, and each will receive a $10 Dunkin Donuts gift card.

All students may participate except for those who helped to gather, upload, and/or edit the photos.  All staff members may participate, whether or not he/she submitted a photo into the contest.

The winner for each group will be either the first entrant to submit a perfect list or the entrant who submits the list with the most correct answers.  In the case of a tie, the tying entrants will be contacted via e-mail and informed of a tie-breaking procedure, which will take place on Wednesday, November 27.

Should there be any questions concerning the rules of the game, please contact thedelphi@dvrhs.k12.nj.us with a subject title of “Contest Question.”  Good luck, and have fun!
