Scary Hours 2 was released by Drake on March 5, 2021. The EP includes three songs: “What’s Next,” “Wants and Needs” featuring Lil Baby and “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” featuring Rick Ross.

Fans were anticipating new music, and those fans were not disappointed. Drake fans loved “What’s Next,” which only featured Drake. It sampled a newer type of beat and saw a different type of rapping style, which most listeners felt was the best track from the EP.

The second most popular song on this project is “Wants and Needs,” featuring Lil Baby. It showcased a modern rap beat with softer vocals from Drake. Although most fans liked Lil Baby’s part better, Drake’s softer lyrics and voice in this particular song, when matched with Lil Baby’s harder rap style, was highly admired by fans.

The third and final song, “Lemon Pepper Freestyle,” which features Rick Ross. It showcased an older type of beat, which many fans enjoyed. Both Drake and Rick Ross have very mediocre rapping styles in this song. Overall, fans liked this song strictly for the catchy beat, not so much for the vocals.

Each song varied in style and flow. Scary Hours 2 showcased new rappers, along with older ones to draw in a larger audience for this project. Drake also hinted to his former 2016-2018 rapping ability in this project.

Many fans liked how Drake tried to include a similar flow from his original Scary Hours project, which showed his dedication by giving fans what they really wanted.

Ultimately fans were very pleased to get a glimpse of Drake’s former self.
