Apocalyptic and Dystopian Literature courses at Del Val

A new course is coming to Del Val: Apocalyptic and Dystopian Literature. Students will learn about dystopian literature throughout the years, and eventually create their own apocalyptic dystopia.

Ms. Koep will teach students apocalyptic and dystopian novels, films, short stories, television, art and video games. Students will also read about viruses, alien invasions, infertility and nuclear war as part of the course.

All of the reading about dystopian worlds and an apocalyptic future will lead to students to create their own dystopian world.

Ms. Koep is an English teacher at Del Val and graduated here in 2005. She is excited to help students work on their own creative writing assignments.

Students will be able to learn in depth about the worlds not so different than ours.

This class is only available to juniors and seniors.
