Girls lacrosse’s senior night took place on May 16 at the Del Val turf.
Senior night is a chance to recognize all the players that have stayed true to the Del Val Lacrosse Program. It’s a ceremony to honor the girls leaving this year and how hard they worked over the past four years.
The ceremony means a lot to them. The Delphi spoke to team captain Elana Falkenstein about what senior night means to her and the team.
“It’s good for everyone to recognize each and every one of us because we have been with the program for four years,” Falkenstein said.
The support also means a lot to the players. It helps them to see how far they’ve come along and how they’ve helped others along the way.
This event showcases the team spirit of Del Val as well. Senior night helps to boost energy and get the girls excited before their game against Watchung Hills.
“The support goes to show that we’ve worked hard and that we’ve left an impact on the younger girls,” Falkenstein said.
