“The Artist Closet” is the Hunterdon Art Museum’s annual vintage clothing sale that sells secondhand, high end, pieces to help raise funds for the Museum. It is taking place Sept. 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Toshiko Takaezu Terrace.

This event is filled with a variety of items that are donated by local members of the community, making each year’s selection unique.

“We sell all types of clothing, from ballgowns to leather hats, shoes, skirts, you name it, we sell it,” Jocelyn Manship, a member of the museums board, said.

All profit made from the event will go directly to HAM, which helps to keep it running and support its programs. HAM also tries to keep pricing affordable to encourage more individuals to come out to the museum and thrift.

“There are phenomenal bargains you can find, we have beautiful jewelry this year,” Manship said. “Most things are a dollar, five bucks and just a lot of great stuff this year.”
