The New Voices Legislation was passed on December 21, 2021 by Governor Phil Murphy. This legislation helps to protect student press freedoms with state laws.

New Jersey is only the 15th state to approve the New Voices Legislation in America. It’s important that all states adopt this legislation in order to protect free speech rights and the futures of all students.
