The game of Just Dance has been on the rise ever since it was developed and published in 2009. If you are unfamiliar with the game, it features a variety of songs backed up by choreographed dances that the players must follow. The players are then scored for their ability to complete the dance adequately.
This game has been played in a variety of contexts including entertainment, fitness, competition and fun. Delaware Valley Regional High school is revolutionizing this activity by including Just Dance as a Varsity sports team. The team has just been recognized as a sport, and is on the rise to becoming one of the greatest ever.
The great Mr. Marty White will be the one pulling the strings behind this operation as he has been leading practices after school daily. White said, “I see a lot of potential in the students here at Del Val to accomplish great things. They have the passion for this growing sport which shows in their scores. This coming year we plan to compete at a national level to fulfill these dance prodigies to their full potential.” He has been on the grind juggling baseball and Just Dance, but the hard work will be worth it.
The dance captains for this team are none other than the vibrant Jocelyn Denne and Daniella Newman who are representing this team with great authority. They are true leaders who have sheer determination and willpower. The practices have been 3 hours long from 6-9pm which Dani says, “Is what it takes. The hustle, blood, sweat and tears is what it takes to be the best. We need to win the national title this year.”
The Just Dance team is always looking for new recruits, but only if you will be fully committed. Send an email out to White if you are interested or looking to join in on this great movement.
