Makers Day at Del Val
March 7, 2022
Delaware Valley Regional High School is hosting “Made in Hunterdon Day” in celebration of Makers Day on Saturday, March 16 from 10 am to 2 pm.
Makers Day has been around for many years, but this will be the first time that Del Val is hosting one of its own.
While Makers Day is only one day for Del Val, Makers Day evolved into a weekend-long event, starting on a Friday and then going until Sunday. The purpose of Makers Day is to bring awareness to crafting and STEM activities. At Del Val’s event, there will even be staff members there showing what they can do.
“We’ve got anything from beeswax candle making to cookie decorating to circuit tiles. I think it’s going be a really nice, well-rounded experience,” said Media Center Specialist Tracy Miceli, who is running this year’s event.
Community members of all ages are welcome to attend, but Ms.Miceli requests that you register in advance to show that you will be attending. This way, she and other makers helping host this event will know the amount of supplies they will need.
You can scan the QR code, or if that doesn’t work, there is a website listed on the flyer.
“I’m doing it with the hope to be able to pull everybody back together after being separated for so long,” said Miceli.
Current Makers List:
Beeswax sheet candles (Carolyn Wolsiefer)
