Del Val will be hosting a teacher boxing match on April 1st as a fundraiser for a worthy cause.

Brian Smith, Del Val’s journalism advisor, has been down on his luck lately, and needs money in order to build an addition to his house. The generous teachers and staff at Del Val have volunteered to help him raise money by participating in a boxing match.

Ten brave staff members have stepped up, and the day will consist of five action-packed brawls. Admission to the event will be $10 per person, with the fighting starting at 10:30 a.m.

Susan Coles and Smith have casted their predictions as to who will win. Coles predicted that Grady will come out on top, and Smith has hope for Trunk.

The school is expecting a high turnout with the venue filled to the max with eager spectators. No food or drinks will be allowed inside, and metal detectors will be placed at all entrances to prevent students from bringing in contraband.

All are encouraged to come and watch these fighters duke it out in order to raise money for Smith’s house.
