This Friday, Sept. 13, the Delaware Valley football team takes on Bernards at Del Val’s first game of the season.
Claim a spot in the stands as kickoff will start the game at 7 p.m. on the Tap Webb Memorial Field. Be sure to dress patriotically as the theme will be USA in remembrance of those who lost their lives during the Sept. 11 attacks.
The Dawg Pound will meet at 6:15 p.m. in the student parking lot for paint up.
Tickets will be $3 for students with proof of their student IDs and for elderly guests. Adults will be charged $4 per ticket. Be sure to bring additional cash to buy food and drinks at the concession stand.
In addition to the Sport and Spirit Club, the All Sports Booster Club will be there to sell Del Val apparel, which includes sweatshirts, sweatpants, t-shirts and more.
Bernards is Del Val’s rivalry team, and with the past five times that Del Val has played them, the Terriers have only won once. The win was back in 2021, the team beat them 28-14. Del Val’s seniors go into this game knowing they haven’t won against Bernards since they were freshman.
As Bernards completed last season with a record of 12 wins and one loss, Del Val has its work cut out for them.
Del Val football is 1-0 this season, which means the win over the South Plainfield last week could really pave the way to starting the season with an impressive record.
Get ready to pack the pound in your USA apparel as we take on Bernards.
