As the school year starts to conclude, there are many events that students look forward to. Recently, juniors and seniors received an email regarding the details of prom.
Prom this year will take place on May 1, 2026, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at SteelStacks. Tickets went on sale March 1 and will be available until April 15 at 11:59 p.m. for $135 per ticket. No refunds or ticket changes will be allowed after April 1.
This year’s menu will once again feature Italian cuisine with an appetizer, main courses and dessert. The appetizer will be a classic Caesar salad with shaved Parmesan and croutons. The main courses will include herb-grilled julienne chicken, cavatappi Alfredo, penne marinara and garlic bread. A soft-serve ice cream bar with various toppings will be available for dessert.
Students are allowed to buy tickets for themselves and one guest. The guest ticket may be for either a Del Val student or an out-of-district student.
When ordering tickets online, include only the attendee’s name and student contact information on the form. When purchasing a ticket for a guest who is not a Del Val student, enter their name and email address in the guest details portion of the checkout screen.
If a student wants to bring an out-of-district guest, they must fill out the attached form in the email they received from Britta Koep in its entirety and give it to Jennifer Terepka in the main office by April 15.
Students will be able to check in to prom at 6 p.m. and will not be admitted after 7 p.m.
Although this is a fun time for students, there are some guidelines that they must follow. Since prom is a semiformal event, jeans and sneakers will not be allowed.
To be admitted into prom, students must bring their school photo ID and digital or printed ticket at check-in. Attendees must stay in the building for the entire event after they check in. Anyone who leaves the building will not be allowed to return.
Students are not permitted to bring water bottles, bags or other containers into the venue, and small purses will be subject to search. Attendees are expected to follow all school procedures and policies, including the dress code.
