Del Val’s Holiday Spirit Week starts next Monday and continues throughout the week. The week consists of different themes to follow each day.
These themes are included in the info box at the bottom of the page.
Student Council asks that all clothes be school appropriate but to have fun and be creative.
Many Del Val students are talking about their excitement for the holidays and spirit week. Out of 30 people polled in the building, nine people said they will participate in the holiday spirit week next week and eight people said they don’t think they will.
“I am the most excited for pajama day because I love wearing pajamas to school,” said senior Grace English. “I am planning on wearing flannel Christmas pajamas.”
Emelia Marinelli seconded English’s thoughts.
“I am the most excited for pajama day, too, because I like being comfortable in school,” said Marinelli. “I am planning on wearing some fuzzy Christmas pajamas.”
Pajama Day isn’t the only theme creating excitement.
“I can’t wait for Monday, which is Holiday Headwear Day because I just like wearing Santa hats,” said junior Juelz Lee.
13 of those polled replied that they might participate next week.
“I might dress up for spirit week, and if I do, I will dress up for Tuesday, which is Flannel Day because I actually have flannels in my closet,” said psychology teacher Rod Jensen. “I would wear a snowman suit for Thursday, but I don’t own one.”
Keep an eye on “The Delphi’s” Instagram account for reminders of each day’s theme.
