Incoming freshmen enter Del Val’s auditorium excited to learn about what Del Val has to offer. The freshmen were shown a video compiling Del Val’s events over the past few years and learned about scheduling.

Supervisor of Math, Ryan Murphy, speaks to students about the usage of Artificial Intelligence.

Supervisor of Security, Dr. Ariel Gilbert, talks to freshmen about student conduct.

Supervisor of Special Education, Sandra Morisie, helps freshmen participate in an activity to learn more about each other.

Former leaders of the Dawg Pound teach incoming students chants for athletic events and speak about etiquette during games.

Peer leaders help incoming students navigate classes and schedules before the first day of school.

Counselor, Ashley Miranda, asks students about their interests outside of school and their favorite classes.

The day ends with Del Val students representing their clubs at an activity fair in the Gold Gym to encourage freshmen to join.

Neha is a senior at Del Val and is a Managing Editor and the Multimedia Editor for The Delphi. She is apart of the Biomedical Science Academy, Business Academy, Key Club and Peer Leaders. In her free time, she loves to play sports and watch TV shows.
Yulissa Jacinto, Assistant A&E Editor
Yulissa is a Sophomore at Del Val and is the assistant A&E editor. This is her second year working for The Delphi. She likes to write and outside of school she likes to read.

Audrey Burns is a freshman at Del Val. This is her first year on The Delphi. She is also a member of the Book Club and Buddies Unified.
Cecilia Fransen, Reporter
Cecilia Fransen is a freshman at Del Val. This is her first year on The Delphi. She is in the Biomedical Science Academy and on the cheer team.
Gianna Roberts, Editor-in-chief
Gianna is a senior at Del Val and this is her fourth and final year working on The Delphi, now as the Editor-in-chief. In her free time, Gianna enjoys baking, reading and listening to music, especially Taylor Swift. In addition to The Delphi, Gianna is a part of Quill and Scroll, Model UN, National Honors Society and Habitat for Humanity.
Ella Genovese, Managing Editor
Ella Genovese is a junior at Del Val. This is her third year writing for The Delphi. She is the Managing and Sports Editor for this year. She is also a stage manager for this year’s fall play and enjoys being involved in the theater department. In her free time, Ella likes to swim, read, write and listen to music.
Sara Matthews, Editor-in-chief
Sara is a senior at Del Val who is involved in the National Honor Society, Key Club and Del Val cheerleading. Sara hopes to continue winning contests and awards with “The Delphi” as this is her final year with the school paper. This is her third year writing for “The Delphi,” where she hopes to better the paper as best she can before her high school career is over.
