On Feb. 5, Del Val’s cheerleading team made it to the airport for the 2025 UCA Nationals in Orlando, Florida. The team had been working together since June 2024, and they were prepared to take on another successful week at Nationals. Last year, the team placed third in the nation, which meant they were hungry for redemption.

The team arrived to a calm evening in Orlando. They were excited to find out they were staying in the same resort as in past years, All-Star Music in Disney World.

After a successful practice, the team was rewarded with a fun afternoon in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The team was also granted a “family night” filled with fun where the athletes went to Disney Springs, Magic Kingdom and out to eat with their families (Photo @delvalcheerleading on Instagram).

Friday morning there was a scheduled practice for Del Val, Barnegat and Manchester High School. The teams gave each other feedback on how to improve their routines before taking the mat for the first time Saturday morning (Photo @delvalcheerleading on Instagram).

To celebrate a long and successful season, each year the team dresses up and goes out to a team dinner. This year, the team went to Disney Springs’ Planet Hollywood restaurant. Disney Springs was a team favorite, as everyone was able to break off with other teammates or family members to walk around after finishing the meal (Photo @delvalcheerleading on Instagram).

The first competition, Pre-lims, was on Saturday morning. The team entered the arena with high spirits and hopes to move on to Semifinals the next day. The team performed an outstanding routine, advancing to Semifinals in third place (Photo @delvalcheerleading on Instagram).

At Semifinals Sunday night, the team performed another strong routine. Having never performed so late in the evening before, the team got together to celebrate a job well done. After returning to their hotel, the team gathered together to hear the announcement for which teams would be making it to finals the next day. They were announced as finalists, and all the could not have been more proud (Photo @delvalcheerleading on Instagram).

In the end, Del Val Cheerleading ended seventh in the Nation out of 68 teams. They brought home a large trophy along with everlasting memories. 2025 Nationals are officially over, and now the team is ready to take on New Jersey States, hoping for another State Champion title (Photo @delvalcheerleading on Instagram).
