Crisp autumn days mean that fall sports are back for the 2025-2026 school year. Del Val’s field hockey team has been working hard and is finding success at the midseason mark.
As of this publication, the team has a record of eight wins and three losses and is currently in second place in the division. Despite some injuries and missing players, the team has pulled through and achieved hard-fought wins.
“Ultimately, I think we’re doing a really great job at staying together and playing great field hockey,” head coach Stephanie Rifflard said.
The team’s final home game of the season will be its senior night, which will be played on Oct. 13 against South Hunterdon at Tapp Webb Memorial Field.
For those unable to attend the match against South Hunterdon, the team has one last local game as the girls will challenge Hunterdon Central on Oct. 17 at Hunterdon Central.
“I think the rest of our season is going to go great,” captain Olivia Cardenas said. “Our team has been working hard and putting in 100 percent effort at practice and on the field.”
