So far we only know a little bit about the upcoming movie The Batman. Here is what we know so far.

According to IMDb, the storyline is “In his second year of fighting crime, Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham City that connects to his own family while facing a serial killer known as the Riddler.”

The Batman has not been released yet, but the trailer is already nominated for 3 Golden Trailer Awards. These awards consist of Best Teaser, Best Motion/Title Graphics, and Best Sound Editing.

It stars Zoë Kravitz (Catwoman), Robert Pattinson (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Paul Dano (The Riddler), Colin Farrell (The Penguin), and Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth)

Robert Pattinson has said that the movie is “something from the comics which hasn’t really been explored yet.”

Fans found out in 2019 who the new Batman was going to be, and they all had mixed feelings about it. This reveal caused major excitement, but also major backlash as well.

Matt Reeves, the director of the film, explained, There has been no actor, when his announcement that he was going to be playing Batman in one of the feature films was announced, that has not received a backlash. The people who were excited, I knew it was because they knew Rob’s work post-Twilight. The people who weren’t excited, I knew it was because they didn’t know Rob’s work post-Twilight.”

Despite some of the backlash, DC fans are on the edge of their seats waiting for the movie to come out.

The Batman was supposed to release in June of 2021, but due to the pandemic, it will now release March 4, 2022. It has an expected run time of 2:47.
