Get your cap and gloves ready because Del Val will be hosting its annual softball game on Saturday June 7, 2025. 

Strike Out Hunger is a friendly competition between Del Val staff members and All Star team members from our community. This charity event raises money for local food pantries like NORWESCAP. 

“The federal government cut out a lot of funds, so basically the food pantries are a little low” organizer James Kluska said. “All the food that is collected at Del Val is given to the food pantries that affect the families in our community.”  

People who attend this event are asked to bring nonperishable food items, including taco shells, brownie mix, chicken broth and more. Donations, no matter how small, will make an impact in people’s lives.

“A lot of times we think about ‘What am I going to eat tonight?’ rather than ‘Am I going to eat tonight?’ which is a big difference.” Kluska said. “If someone could just bring one can in, it makes all the difference to the people that need the food.”   

Make sure to stop by the Del Val Varsity Football Field this Saturday between 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for some food and fun!
