The official trailer for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” was released by Sony on March 18. This will be the fourth film with Tom Holland returning as Spider-Man.
Along with Holland, Zendaya will return as MJ and Jacob Batalon will return as Ned. The trailer also features characters seen in previous Marvel films, such as Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), who appears in his human form rather than the Hulk, as well as the Punisher (Jon Berthnal).
At the end of the last movie, ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,” Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) cast a spell that made the world forget Peter Parker exists. The trailer features a college-aged Peter, set four years after the previous movie, and now that the world has forgotten Spider-Man’s identity, Parker continues to protect New York City while also being isolated from the world in his civilian life.
Parker also seems to be undergoing some kind of physical mutation, leading him to lose control of his superpowers. It’s implied that Parker will seek out Bruce Banner to help better understand this sudden change.

The trailer also gives a glimpse at a returning character, Scorpion (Micheal Mando). Scorpion was last seen in his pre-superhuman form as Mac Gargan, an affiliate of the Vulture in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” In a mid-credit scene, an imprisoned Mac Gargan states that he has associates who want to kill Spider-Man.
Some of the never-seen-before villains that were featured in the trailer include Tombstone (Marvin Jones III), along with Boomerang and Tarantula, whose actors have not been confirmed. It also features a ninja clan, The Hand, who was first featured in the Daredevil comics and Netflix show.
It is also confirmed that Sadie Sink will be playing a role in the film, yet the character she plays has not been announced.
As the anticipation grows for the release of the long-awaited film, fans will have to wait and see where Peter Parker’s story goes next. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is currently set to release in theaters July 31, 2026.
