Benefits of being involved: why clubs matter
Pennants from former students of math teacher Andy Fitz cover the wall. Fitz began receiving pennants from his students in 2005 and takes pride in the collection. “I always like at Back to School Night, or when anybody new comes in here, that they see all the wonderful schools that some of these kids are going to,” Fitz said. “Yeah, we're little, little Del Val out in the middle of a cornfield, but there are a number of great schools that kids are getting into — a lot of that stuff is happening right in this room.”
