The 2023 NFL Draft saw teams make plenty of interesting moves that will make them more competitive.

And with the first pick of the 2023 draft, the Carolina Panthers select quarterback Bryce Young.

Star Alabama quarterback Young had an illustrious collegiate career with an impressive resume on top of it: a 2020 National Champion, 2021 Heisman Trophy winner, 2021 Maxwell Davey O’Brien and Manning award, and 2021 AP College Football Player of the Year.

The Panthers made the easy choice, and Young is a outstanding pickup for the struggling franchise. Over the next several years, the Panthers can build around Young and make the team a force to be reckoned with in the NFC South.

A high risk, high reward draft pick that no one expected by the Indianapolis Colts was taking Florida Quarterback Anthony Richardson with the fourth overall pick, which was based on his impressive performance at the NFL Combine. Richardson has the raw physical talent that makes him more of a project pick. It will be exciting to watch Richardson prove himself over the next few seasons.

The Eagles pounced on Georgia OLB Nolan Smith with the 31st overall pick after the Saints left him on the board. The Eagles snagged the two-time national champion late in the first round. The Eagles had a fantastic draft, fortifying their defense with multiple amazing picks for who was left on the board.

The Falcons made a risky move picking up Texas running back Bijan Robinson with the eighth overall pick. Whenever a team takes a running back in the top 15 they get a lot of backlash, but this is a great move by the Falcons. While there were better options on the board, Atlanta needed to establish a dominant run-heavy, smash mouth offense. With the Falcons taking two offensive linemen in later rounds, their offense is gonna be hard to stop within the next couple years.

The Packers drafting defensive end Lukas Van Ness out of Iowa was a fantastic move for the franchise. Van Ness is going to be a nightmare for NFL quarterbacks for years to come.

The NFL season kicks off this fall with many young stars making their debuts.
