The Del Val girls lacrosse team is gearing up for an exciting season filled with fresh opportunities. While the team had to let go of some talented seniors, their departure opens the door for new people to make a mark on the team.

This year’s squad is a blend of seasoned players and new comers, creating a mix of experience and untouched potential.

The team is also embracing the challenge of moving up a division, this shift means facing tougher competition, but it is also a chance to test the team’s power and elevate the game.

The players are viewing this as an opportunity to grow, learn, and improve their capabilities against some of the best teams.

“I think so far, I’ve seen a lot of hustle this season,” said senior Meadow Testa. “A lot of grit, you can tell that everyone needs to be there, and everyone wants to put in the work on the field.”

The coaches have been working very hard to prepare the team for this upcoming season.

“We are setting goals for success in every game,” Coach Riff said. “Understanding that the strength of team and depth of their benches will be much tougher than what we have ever faced. We will do our very best to be competitive and play with heart from start to finish in every game, no matter the school we are up against.”

The focus for the season is on growth and unity. So far the team has been super committed to supporting each other, pushing their limits and leaving it all on the field with a positive mindset and relentless work ethic.

The players will work to communicate and bond with each other. The skills they are creating are not only valuable on the field but will also translate into success for all of them.

“I think we have a really tough schedule ahead of us, but I know that, as we progress, we’re gonna get more and more comfortable with each other, and things are just gonna start clicking, and I know that we can do it,” Testa said.
