Junior Cole Fritsche reached a milestone on the turf, scoring his 100th career lacrosse point.
The achievement came on Wednesday, April 29, during the Senior Night game against Morris Hills on the Del Val turf.
Fritsche’s major contribution of 5 total goals and one assist in this game pushed the team to its second win of the season.
“It was definitely exciting,” Cole said. “It definitely helped out with the rest of the attack-men helping me get there.”
The final score was 11-6, with sophomore Adam Viscel helping Fritsche with four assists. Fritsche’s milestone was one of the highlights of the game.

“Reaching 100 points is the first major milestone players reach in their high school career,” head coach Andrew Niebuhr said.
Cole is now the 16th all-time career leader for points at Del Val. Joey Cansfield, class of 2019, holds the record with 361 points.
In addition to reaching the 100-point mark, Fritsche broke the school record for most goals scored in a single game the previous week, netting 10 goals on Friday, April 24 against High Point/Wallkill Valley in the first round of the Hunterdon Warren Sussex tournament.
Fritsche has been a three-year varsity starter, and throughout his time on the team, he has been a major contributor and a game leader multiple times. These accomplishments have made him a team captain this year.
Last season, Fritsche finished with 33 goals and 19 assists as a sophomore, and this year is already showing growth on last season’s performance.
Milestones like this one are viewed as a reflection of a player’s work ethic and impact on the program.
“Cole is a great asset to our team, a very hard worker on and off the field,” Niebuhr said.
