The cheerleading team’s annual youth clinic had a strong turnout of young athletes eager to learn, improve and experience the excitement of cheerleading.
Held on March 21 from 9 to 11 a.m., the clinic offered participants of all skill levels an opportunity to develop technique, build confidence and connect with experienced coaches and team members.
The clinic focused on core elements of cheerleading, including motion technique, stunts and tumbling.
Throughout the morning, athletes rotated through stations led by coaches and current cheerleaders who provided instruction and encouragement.

The high-energy environment kept participants engaged while safety was ensured by making sure that all activities were conducted responsibly and with coach supervision.
From beginners trying cheerleading for the first time to more experienced athletes showing off their skills, the clinic welcomed a group of all types of athletes.
Coaches gave instruction to meet individual needs, helping each participant sharpen her skills while also introducing new techniques.
“The clinic was super motivational and fun,” senior cheerleader Mia Boesch said. “Smiles and laughs were shared throughout the clinic. Cheerleaders left with improved skills and confidence also with a better understanding of cheer as a whole.”
The clinic, which cost $40 per athlete, served as an opportunity for the cheer program to fundraise while connecting with the community and inspiring future teammates.
By the end of the morning, the Del Val Cheer Youth Clinic proved to be both a fun and valuable experience that highlighted the program’s commitment to growth and enthusiasm in young athletes.
