Love Death + Robots is a new series to Netflix in which each episode has nothing to do with the next. The episodes are mostly animated and range from 6 to around 20 minutes in length. The short episodes allow for some interesting stories with endless twist and turns. Each episode has its own style that allows the story to have and individual feel that helps the story to flourish. Most of the stories have some dark undertones, some being much darker than others; however, they are all quirky and unique stories that tell of far away places or of futuristic worlds.

As each episode is animated in a different style, you never feel as if you are watching the same show over and over again. Because each episode has nothing to do with the last, you don’t have to watch them in order.  You don’t even have to watch all of them. Instead, you can pick and choose between the super wacky and the super gory. Love Death + Robots is perfect for those who get bored of shows easily, or who find the plot slow or uneventful. With the fast pace of each episode and since the show doesn’t follow a singular theme, you find a new story at every turn. This series has everything from super genius yogurt to cats with thumbs. Where could you go wrong?

As the name suggests, there is quite a bit of death, so the show is for more mature audiences because of the extent of the violence. Those who are squeamish should pick and choose which episode they watch carefully; there are several episodes without blood or death, so there is no need to fear! Love Death + Robots has something for you. With 12 episodes in total, this fresh series is just the thing for fans of the unconventional and quirky.
